‘bbb Awards 2026: What India Is Ordering Behind the Bar’
A bar menu can tell you what a venue wants to sell. The bar itself tells you what guests are choosing.
Returning as part of the Brews & Spirits Expo on 9 September 2026 at KTPO Convention Centre, Bengaluru, the bbb Awards 2026 – Best Brands in Bars puts the spotlight on the brands making their mark across India's on-trade.
The Categories
The bbb Awards span the categories that shape a modern bar's backbar, cellar and service — from Water and Mixers to Sparkling Wine and Champagne, Indian and International Still Wine, and Indian and International Beer.
The spirits categories cover Gin, Vodka, Rum, Brandy, Agave Spirits, Liqueurs, Amaro & Aperitifs, alongside Indian Premium Whisky, Indian Single Malt, International Whisky, Blended Scotch, Scottish Single Malt and International Single Malt.
Across these categories, brands are recognised with Gold and Silver awards, reflecting their standing within India's on trade.
The Awards Evening
The winners will be announced at the bbb Awards 2026 ceremony on 9 September, held alongside Brews & Spirits Expo at the KTPO Convention Centre, Whitefield, Bengaluru.
With the Expo bringing together the wider alcobev trade through its exhibition, conference, workshops, masterclasses and competitions, the awards offer a moment to look at the industry from another angle: not what brands say is happening, but what the bar is telling us.

How it works
The awards draw from the What India Drinks survey by 30BestBars India, which looks at what is moving across the country's leading bars and hospitality venues. This year's survey covers 150+ bars across 18+ cities, putting the focus firmly on the on-trade rather than consumer popularity or brand-led nominations.
The survey offers a useful view of India's drinking habits from the people who encounter them every day. Responses come from professionals across the country's bars, pubs, hotel bars, taprooms and other hospitality establishments — the people deciding what gets poured, reordered and kept behind the bar.
That makes the bbb Awards less about which brand is the loudest and more about which ones are actually finding their way into glasses.
